About Daniel & Becky

"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

~ Isaiah 40:31

Daniel and Becky Lehmann are long-time leaders of DivorceCare. They’ve taken the ministry one step further by converting their Monteagle, Tennessee home, Eagles Rest, into a retreat for those experiencing family breakup. On a bluff overlooking 2,000 pristine acres of the Appalachian foothills, the Lehmann’s home becomes a weekend retreat for people attending DivorceCare groups. It’s like a lodge designed specifically to serve as a place for direction and renewal.

The Wildstream Retreat was developed by Daniel Lehmann, MDiv, from his experiences in pastoral ministry, after having attended and then leading DivorceCare groups. His methods of teaching and care at the Wildstream Retreat are based on editing the ideas and words of 100s of participants just like you! What could you learn from others who have been where you find yourself and are now a bit further ahead on their journey?

Navigating divorce, whether you initiated the divorce or it was handed to you (both are welcome at Wildstream) is a process of retreating to God's care and pursuing His direction and guidance. Initially, it's a process of discovering where you are now. In the confusion and spiritual pain of divorce, we can gain our footing at this retreat through experiences that involve:

  • exploring
  • resting
  • connecting

Although your journey through the Wilderness of Divorce is entirely yours, you don’t have to go it alone.
Becky’s favorite verse, which she often shares with groups, is Isaiah 45:3: “I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.” Daniel and Becky encourage you to search for the riches of God’s peace, comfort, and daily presence during your difficult journey that you will treasure long after the pain subsides.
